Designed for TV and HDTV systems in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America - the Sony HDR-PJ760VE Flash Memory HD Camcorder with Projector (PAL) is equipped with a powerful built-in projector and 96GB of flash memory. This one-of-a-kind Sony camcorder lets you capture 1920 x 1080 full HD video and then play it back - also in HD - using the camera's built-in HD projector. The integrated projector gives you the means to instantly view your home movies on up to a 100" diagonal screen without any cables or connections. Besides shooting and projecting video, this camcorder can take 24.1 megapixel still images as well. The HDR-PJ760VE features a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor that's ideal for low-light situations. Plus, it features a 26mm wide angle Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens that supports 10x optical zoom and 20x extended zoom. There's also a 3" Xtra Fine LCD touch screen display for intuitive recording and instant playback.

The HDR-PJ760VE comes outfitted with several video enhancing features. It has Golf Shot, Face Detection, CinemaTone presets and 25p recording for cinematic quality video. There's also a Tracking Focus function that follows selected subjects as you record. The microphone features 5.1 channel surround sound for dynamic and vivid surround audio. The camcorder also has a color 0.27" electronic viewfinder (EVF). There's even a wind noise reduction function that provides clear voice recording and Geotagging with a built-in GPS receiver and NAVTEQ maps. For professional shooting, the camcorder has a built-in flash, headphone jack for monitoring and a microphone jack for using external mics. The camcorder supports Clear Phase stereo speakers as well.

Sony added a few playback and connection conveniences as well. The HDR-PJ760VE features Event Browse, which groups video and stills by each particular recording session automatically. It also has a Highlight Playback function that creates movies with transitions and soundtracks for you automatically. With the HDR-PJ760VE, you can use the Direct Copy feature to transfer your HD footage directly to a hard drive without even using a PC. However, if you do want to upload videos onto Facebook and YouTube, the camcorder comes with a USB cable, as well as editing and application software.

PAL camcorders usually record using 25p or 50i frames per second (fps), while NTSC camcorders usually record using 60p/60i/30p fps.
