To connect between a satellite tuner receiving PAL signals and an NTSC TV (or vice versa); and for many more consumer, industrial, educational and commercial applications involving different TV systems.
To use your TV/video equipment abroad when TV system is different. If you own NTSC equipment (for example) and are moving to a country where PAL is the broadcast system, the TR-10sp and TR-11SVHS will make it possible to use your existing equipment while offering the possibility of tape conversion.
To convert tapes or DVDs received from abroad and recorded in a different TV system: if you need to convert tapes or DVDs from/to PAL/NTSC, for example, you will have to connect the TR-10sp/TR-11SVHS between a PAL VCR or DVD player and an NTSC VCR or DVD player;or between a camcorder and a VCR or DVD player.
