The Bosch PSM 10.8 LI is: a powerful, exceptionally lightweight and handy cordless multi-sander that is the successor of the “Bosch PRIO”. Truly versatile due to its compact size and low weight.

The PSM 10.8 LI multi-sander is suitable for smaller to medium applications such as sanding down garden benches, window and door frames, banisters, shelves and smaller pieces of furniture like chests of drawers or bedside cabinets. Anybody wishing to perform larger projects while enjoying the benefits of a cordless power tool, should use the PSM 18 LI cordless multi-sander, which has been part of Bosch's range since 2010.

Easy to operate

This tool weighs only 700 grams and is only about 24 x 12 x 10 cm in size. Moreover, this multi-sander has an especially large grip zone, so that it can also be comfortably operated with two hands. Softgrip surfaces enable it to be guided in a controlled manner. The low vibration and the compact, ergonomic design also contribute to the controlled handling of the tool. The on/off sliding switch positioned in the middle of the top makes it easy for both left- and right-handed people to operate the tool. For dust-free working a conventional vacuum cleaner can be connected to the tool using the supplied adapter.

Power Automatic – Automatic power increase by increased pressure

The Bosch Multi Sander features “Power Automatic”. Due to the special innovation the PSM 10.8 LI reacts automatically to more pressure of the user by applying more power to the sanding surface. The user normally applies increased pressure in areas where the surface is particularly rough. When this happens, the PSM 10.8 LI automatically increases its power and therefore the material removal rate. When the amount of pressure is reduced, the power drops again and you can carry on working gently. This results in evenly sanded surfaces and rapid work progress. Power Automatic also controls the given pressure by flashing the red battery indicator LED on top of the tool to guide users in how much pressures is needed to work efficiently.

Quick charging long-life Lithium-Ion Battery (not included)

The Multi-Sander is especially portable and versatile due to its changeable 10.8 Volt Lithium-Ion battery that is compatible with all Bosch DIY tools in this voltage class. Lithium-Ion batteries have hardly any self-discharge, so the multi-sander is ready to use even after lengthy breaks. The batteries also have no memory effect, so they can be recharged at any time without suffering a deterioration in battery performance. They are charged very quickly thanks to the one-hour charger that is supplied as standard.

Easy changing with the micro Velcro-type fastening system

Tried-and-tested product features of the predecessor, such as the special shape of the sanding plate and the micro Velcro-type system for fastening the sanding paper, have been kept in the PSM 10.8 LI. The sanding plate combines the functions of an orbital sander with those of a delta sander. Its sanding plate resembles the sole of a small iron and consists of two parts. The rear part is fixed and the delta-shaped sanding plate tip is rotatable: if the front corner of the sanding paper is worn down, you can rotate the sanding plate tip together with the sanding paper, or you can simply remove the sanding paper and fix it on again using the micro Velcro-type fastening system. In both cases, all three corners of the sanding paper are used and worn down equally, which triples the paper’s service life.
